The Sound Flowers project is a kinetic interactive sound installation deriving from my long-lasting interest and research in the area of human sensory perception.
The installation consists of a set of audio-kinetic objects (flowers). A custom sound making mechanism is mounted inside the bottom part of each object. The mechanism makes sound when the flower swings. Each kinetic flower makes a sound of different pitch, color, quality and intensity. Together, they generate an inimitable sound pattern. The audio-kinetic objects function purely mechanically, utilizing basic principles of physics.
The number of objects in the installation varies according to the artist's decision but cannot consist of less than 6 objects.
To experience the work visitors are advised to walk through the installation similarly to walking through the field or forest and interact with the Sound Flowers objects.
