Intuitive Gradient

In Intuitive Gradient Drdová creates an installation from office supplies that acquire a new functionality by means of appropriation and exposition. Their materiality and aesthetic qualities take precedence over their functionality. However, the installation culminates only with the folding and layering of these objects into a whole: their correlations become more important than the individual artefacts, the whole becomes more than merely the sum of its parts. The resulting composition is carefully structured into an associative narrative of colours and materials. An emphasis on detail and balance is a hallmark of Drdová’s work.
