TV Piece

I informed my friends that I was going to watch a complete day of television broadcasting on one channel of Czech Television. It began at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning and finished traditionally with the national anthem and flag at 12:35 a.m. the following day. Throughout the day various people came over to see if I was still there. They reacted to the exciting programming (Communist Party conferences) by either reading or drinking tea. I didn’t leave the room all day and after finishing the action I had to take sleeping pills in order to fall sleep.
